Karanfil Kız

Hatice tells her daughter a bedtime story about Karanfil Kız. Karanfil (7) and her father go to the movies. She falls asleep halfway through. When she wakes up, it is daytime, and her father has disappeared. No one knows what happened to him. Neighbour’s Kid tells her that an Ox swallowed her father. She goes to the forest with the kid to find the Ox. Karanfil walks through the forest and reaches a waterfall. She dowses her head down the waterfall and finds herself in outer space. There, she sees the Ox which carries the Earth on its horns. She remembers the truth with the Ox's guidance. She didn’t go to the cinema with her father. There was an earthquake, and they were stuck under the rubble. Her father likened the light leaking through the crack to the projector's light coming from the machinist’s room so that her daughter wouldn’t be afraid. Carnation survives with the thought of the imaginary movie, but her father dies. Hatice finishes the story and kisses her sleeping child. Then she takes out her prosthetic arm under the blanket and it’s revealed that Karanfil is Hatice’s childhood state, and it was her who was under the rubble with her father.
